New at CBC
Welcome. We’re very joyful that you’re here and we would love to assist you in getting to know us, and getting you or your family connected to CBC in ways that are both helpful and meaningful.
What to expect
Our service starts at 11:00am. During this time, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, hear Scripture read, and give our offerings and tithes.
Our church family is comprised of young and old with a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds. Dress tends to be business-casual, but there is always a mixture of ties and blue jeans.
Our music consists of a blend between traditional and modern hymns as well as other worship songs and we use a variety of instruments. We aim to sing songs that turn us towards God, are full of theological truth, and exalt Jesus Christ.
Here at CBC we emphasize expository preaching, which simply means that we study a book of the Bible from beginning to end by examining the original meaning of the text and how it applies to our lives today. This of course does not mean that we never look at topics found in Scripture. There are times when we also look at certain themes and doctrines we believe the Bible teaches.
At the conclusion of our time, we encourage individuals to enjoy conversation with others in our church. But if for some reason you don’t have much time after church, we invite you to come a little earlier before Sunday School (about 9:00am) to enjoy a cup of coffee and some baked goods.
Our Sunday evening services begin at 6:00pm and tend to be more casual than our Sunday morning times together. They are an opportunity to worship with music and a message that is different from the morning service. It is also during these church family time that on some occasions we witness the baptism of professing Christians. It is a wonderful way to end our day of praise in the company of God’s people.
CBC is a Bible-teaching, baptist church.
